Sunday, August 10 - Friday, August 15
To sign up for camp, students you'll need to turn in:
1. Completed summer camp application
2. Authorization to treat form (if not already on file)
3. Check made payable to GVBC (and scholarship application, if needed)
The deadline is coming up. Get those forms in, space is limited...
Camp theme will be “The Word of Life” (1 John 1:1), we’ll be learning more about how God’s Word points us deeper into a personal relationship with the Living Word, Jesus Christ himself. There’s still some room to invite more friends!

Come on out to our Gym Night this coming Thursday, 6-9 PM in the GVBC Community Hall!
We’ll have some organized games and plenty of hang out time! We’ll have refreshments, but not a full dinner. Bring your friends!

No more
worrying about lost forms or having to ask a leader for an extra form.
Now you can download, print out, and fill out forms from the comfort of
your own home!
“Authorization to Consent to Treatment” Form
- This only needs to be filled
out once a year. We keep this form on file and it covers all youth
ministry activities during the current calendar year.
- Please fill in all insurance
information, writing neatly so it can easily be read in the event of an
emergency.
- Please fill out a new form at
the beginning of each calendar year OR when any information has changed.
“Student Permission" Form
- This needs to be filled out for
each off-site event. For events at GVBC (e.g. gym night, game
night), this form is not required.
- Every blank does not need to be
filled in, what we really need is a parent signature and phone number.
- Though this form is preferred,
a handwritten note or verbal parental consent (e.g. by phone) is also
acceptable.
- Example: Your
son/daughter wants to attend our beach party. They would be required
to bring a “Student Permission Form” (or handwritten note)
that gives specific permission to attend this event. In addition,
they would need to have an “Authorization to Consent to Treatment”
form on file in the event of a medical emergency.

This Friday:
Glow in the Dark in the Park @ Guenser Park (6:00-9:30 PM)
(17800 Gramercy, behind Arlington Elementary in Torrance)
We’ll be playing softball and other field games while it’s still light, then capture the flag with glowsticks when it gets dark! Bring a friend, a baseball glove, and a jacket! We’ll have refreshments but not a full dinner, so eat something beforehand. See you there!
Next Friday: Epicenter Outreach @ GVBC in the courtyard, 7:00-9:30 PM. Invite your friends for a night of inspiring testimonies, meaningful conversation, and great refreshments!
